The Philadelphia Orchestra's 12th Tour of Asia
Fifth tour with Classical Movements since 2001... and counting
 The Philadelphia Orchestra is not only one of the most acclaimed and renowned orchestras in the world but also has one of the longest and most distinguished touring histories. Classical Movements is honored to have managed their 2005 Tour of Asia, the fifth tour that Classical Movements has handled for the Orchestra, with past tours including Asia, Europe, South, Central and North America.
Christoph Eschenbach, the 107 musicians, and guest pianist Lang Lang performed over 15 concerts in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Seoul. Guest cellist Yo-Yo Ma joined the Philadelphia Orchestra for one many concerts in Tokyo's Suntory Hall. Other venues included the Minato Mirai Hall (Yokohama), Kyoto Concert Hall, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (Kuala Lumpur), Esplanade Theatre (Singapore), Hong Kong Cultural Centre, National Concert Hall (Taipei), and Seoul Arts Center.
Over the three and one-half weeks tour, as critics raved about the Philadelphia Orchestra's performances and audiences anxiously stood in line for autographs, it was apparent that this symphonic ensemble delighted Asian audiences once again.
