Ithaca Children's Choir Tours Italy

The Ithaca Children's Choir is a fine ensemble from the Ithaca Community School of Music and Arts, which supports a full youth choral program with a wide range of programs. While touring in Italy this excellent children's choir under the direction of Dr. Janet Galvan, experienced all of the country's romantic and historic charm, including artistic and architectural masterpieces, beautiful landscapes, classical ruins, and grandiose churches. The tour included numerous performances in historic venues, including the Vatican, St. Mark's and a very moving Mass at St. Anthony's Basilica in Padua.

"The tour was wonderful. Classical Movements was constantly available from planning through the end of the tour to solve problems, plan creatively, and answer questions. The people at Classical Movements understand that music is central to the tour, but they also arrange a great balance of seeing the country and interacting with the people. They understand the special needs of musicians and young people. We would definitely tour with Classical Movements again."
[JANET GALVAN, PROFESSOR OF MUSIC, ITHACA COLLEGE]
