Two World Premieres Commissioned by Classical Movements in 2009 Classical Movements' On-going Commissioning Project - Mexican & South African ComposerFor the past 4 years, Classical Movements has been commissioning works for their own choral festivals and top clients as well as to support composers world-wide. Classical Movements has commissioned 6 works in the past 4 years.
The most recent are commissions by Mexican composer Jorge Cordoba Valencia and South African composer Stephen Carletti. Classical Movements commissioned Jorge Cordoba Valencia for the Yale Alumni Chorus tour to Mexico and Guatemala this summer. The Yale Alumni Chorus premiered "Tu" in August 2009 at the Sala Nezahualcoyotl hall in Mexico City. Continued... |
