The English Concert: Europe's Leading Baroque Orchestra Tours the United States
The English Concert tours Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York City

The English Concert, directed by Harry Bicket , is among the finest chamber orchestras in the world, with an outstanding reputation for inspiring and stylish performances of Baroque and Classical music in the concert hall and on CD. This past spring, The English Concert departed their home town of London, England for the United States and Canada, touring Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York City. Their 20-day concert tour included such prestigious venues as the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Herbst Theatre, the Harris Theater, and Carnegie Hall.

Classical Movements made the travel arrangements for the English Concert, including 5 Major cities, 7 flights, 242 hotel rooms and the 8,926 miles traveled.

"We are all back safely after a great tour and many thanks for all your help in setting it up."
—Sarah Fenn, Orchestral Manager

"As the program unfolded, it was easy to see the complete rapport between singer, conductor, and ensemble. Bicket and his players provided remarkably sympathetic accompaniment, carefully scaled to the dynamic range of the soloist and responsive in the highest possible degree to his interpretations."
The Vancouver Sun
"[Harry Bicket's] performances with his period band English Concert here Sunday were beautiful... wonderfully in tune with the fire, fantasy and dancing lightness of the music..."
Chicago Tribune
