Smith College Alumnae Perform Mozart's Requiem Throughout Sicily Classical Movements Arranges Smith Alumnae Chorus' First International Concert Tour Smith Alumnae Chorus singing at the Cathedral of Catania in Sicily Twelve years after the first tour for Smith College Chamber Singers arranged by Classical Movements, it was exciting to help plan the inaugural concert tour for Smith Alumnae Chorus in 2011. Under the perseverance of Director Jonathan Hirsch, the Chorus toured through Sicily, performing Mozart's Requiem at breathtaking cathedrals with a wonderful local Smith Alumnae Chorus before their concert in Acireale, Sicily Italian choir and orchestra. Every concert was well-attended and appreciated by Mozart lovers across the region! Smith's group included alumnae from the classes of 1947 through 2009, and one student who still had to finish her junior year abroad in Florence. "This was truly a highlight of my life-a lovely and inspiring group of accomplished women singing the Requiemthroughout Sicily, on the milestone Alumnae Chorus tour!
