Concert Tour Operations Management help us bring music to the world. Focused on custom travel for major symphony orchestras and choruses, Classical Movements, Inc. seeks an experienced group tour management professional for our Alexandria, VA office.
Your enthusiasm, adaptability and detail-oriented work ethic will help you succeed at planning and managing travel itinerary logistics, hotel contract negotiation, airline ticketing (Apollo-will train), liaising with clients, and managing billing with clients and vendors. Some projects require booking concert venues and coordinating promotion for performances. Occasional travel (US or International) to manage logistics on tour for clients.
Successful candidates must possess ability to multi-task, thrive under pressure, and interact professionally with high-profile clients. Equivalent of a college degree plus experience as tour director of large groups, event planner, or tour operator desired. MS Word & Excel a must. Foreign language and interest in music a plus. Marketing Assistant Focused on custom travel for major symphony orchestras and choruses, Alexandria, VA based Classical Movements, Inc. seeks a Marketing Assistant to work closely with the company President. We are looking for a self-starter who can multi-task, maintain flexibility, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Generating/designing email newsletters
- Coordinating website updates
- Editing and coordinating the production of a semi-annual newsletter
- Assisting in the creation of sales proposals
- Coordinating advertising efforts and conference attendance
- Answering phones
- Maintaining file systems and office supplies
- Mailings and drafting & proofreading correspondence
- Misc. ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative/secretarial experience
- Intermediate level with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Basic knowledge of accounting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong proof-reading skills
- College degree preferred
The ideal candidate must be professional, adaptable, and able to effectively interact with clients in a service-oriented environment. Languages (especially Spanish) and travel industry experience a plus.
