Tim Laughlin, Operations Manager
Tim Laughlin, a native of Pennsylvania, has recently held positions as the Founder and Music Director of ensemble ad|hoc and Assistant Conductor with the Orchestre Les Concerts Lalo du Conservatoire de Lille. He holds music degrees from Syracuse University, University of Texas at Austin and the Conservatoire de Lille in France, where he lived and worked for three years. Tim has recently competed in a number of international conducting competitions, including the Atlantic Coast International Conducting Competition, the inaugural International Opera Conducting Competition with l’Opéra Royal de Liège-Wallonie and twice with the Besançon International Competition for Young Conductors—where, in 2015, he received an honorable mention from the pre-selection jury. He has traveled extensively in Europe, in a gourmand’s constant quest for (and perhaps mild addiction to) fine food. Outside of CM, Tim volunteers as an Emergency Medical Technician, makes a colossal mess in the kitchen and freelances as an adjudicator, educator, arranger/orchestrator, organist/pianist and conductor in the D.C. metro area.
